I had the opportunity to view the JWST from observation decks when it was undergoing final system checks in Redondo Beach CA.

The whole mission until it unfolds and is operational is, really.

Still, feels like I've been following this thing my entire adult life. Set an alarm and watched.

Only a few hundred points of failure left to go!
