(There was a thread a few days ago about Cawthorn engaging shooting techniques that are normally against the rules at most shooting ranges.)
According to Shooters' World's own rules, several safety violations were apparent in the video. Customers must sign a waiver on the company website adhering to these regulations before coming to the range.
Throughout the ad, Cawthorn and other people can be seen shooting in rapid fire, a practice that is expressly forbidden in the range's rules. At one point, Cawthorn is filmed swiftly pulling a handgun out of a holster on his chest before shooting. According to Shooter's World, "Drawing from the holster is prohibited."
Later on, Cawthorn can be seen resting past the firing line as a woman shoots a rifle with some assistance, denoting that she is a novice. Shooter's World states that "No one is allowed in front of the firing line."

(2,971 posts)There's a lot of overlap, mind you, but from what I can see, nothing Hathorn did violated those 4 rules. He certainly violated multiple range rules.
Pointing a gun at a person whom you do not wish to shoot (as in the Christmas photo) is a violation of one of the 4 rules, of course.

(2,971 posts)Ive never seen anyone try to twin wield while at a range. Im not seeing it doesnt happen, but anyone trying to do so at the ranges I patronize would be thrown out in a heartbeat.

(2,971 posts)These aren't people who are shy or ashamed of their opinions on the subject. The one such person to whom I've showed the video simply rolled his eyes and said "What an idiot".
What's more, I am (by your definition) one of these so-called "gunners", am I not? And yet, I've never done such a thing.

(5,492 posts)This is for the benefit of Conservative tough guy wannabes who dont realize that this is pointless - his bullets are flying in every-which direction and hes putting people around him in danger. Someone who actually shoots guns proficiently would never do this. A fraud who wants to impress simple-minded Trumpian knuckle-draggers definitely would.
His gun skills are as fraudulent as his respect for his marriage vows.
