'Spider-Man: No Way Home' is first film to make $1 billion since 2019

https://www.cnn.com/2021/12/26/media/spider-man-no-way-home-box-office-billion/index.html

"The film reached the milestone just 12 days after it was released. Only 2019's "Avengers: Endgame" and "Avengers: Infinity War" reached that mark in less time, at 5 days and 11 days, respectively.
The film has made $1.05 billion worldwide so far."

i can't wait to see it online.

Oh well, I'm just not ready to go to a movie theatre yet. Eternals is streaming in a couple weeks, so I'll get my Marvel fix then.

Best pal of thirty years and I both have a day off and we're thinking, "Tuesday afternoon (few people_, both vaxxed and boosted, high-performance masks"

Oddly, the last movie I went to see was another Marvel movie back in Sep. or Oct. of 2019. If there are too many people, we'll make a hasty retreat and put it on the burner, but given my locations, day and time of day, I think we'll be alight.

My significant other thinks I'm an idiot, but ha! The jokes on her-- I've been an idiot far longer than she knows.

We saw a noon showing on Friday. There were four other people in the theater.

And this is one of those theaters attached to a mall. The mall was absolutely packed.

But no one in the theater. Was odd. Mix in that many theaters have so many showings. I think 90% of the screens at ours were Spider-man, with a show roughly every half hour.

For a 1015am showing. We are double masking. Hoping the early time means she won’t want any snacks and we won’t need to unmasked to eat. I think the promise of a milkshake afterwards if we don’t get any snacks is in order.
