My informal Free Republic survey.
Just out of curiosity I perused the titles of the first four pages of most recent posts. Maybe 50 in all. There were only two that mentioned the word 'Trump'. There were three that said licorice was a cure for Covid.

1. Depends on the licorice
Going to the drugstore and eating licorice while waiting for your vaccination is very effective in preventing severe illness due to covid. |

2. There's some support for licorice
A Google search turns up a lot of articles. None of them call it a cure, but say it may help immunity.

3. No reputable studies that I would trust
The Epoch Times is highly supportive, however.

10. 2 Ounces A Day, For 14 Days...
...has been clinically established to cause risk of arrhythmia.
It's also known to have contraindications to some pharmaceuticals. It's certainly not the best recommendation for immune system boosting. |

9. M&Ms are among my favorite candies!
With or without the nuts, I love them!
But Good ‘N’ Plenty has licorice inside the candies. My favorite candy is Necco Wafers which are just sugar. I panicked when they almost went out of business. They’re so good, even my pharmacy sells them! |

8. It is sort of reassuring to peruse that site periodically
There was a ton of antivaxx/Q stuff awhile back, followed by folks posting about their own experiences with covid.
Now, there is much less Q and antivax, and more links to mainstream media there than in the past. |

12. I seen on the TV people eating on that Australian licorice and they heads was exploding.
So I quit using it and now I eat Nutter Butters instead.

14. What? There's no thread touting fresh ground ginger enemas?
I'm disappointed.
