Some are voicing the hope that the Omicron wave peaked on Dec. 23. Still too early to know for sure. London is the epicenter of the UK omicron wave.

Dr. Wachter is head of the Dept. of Medicine at UCSF. His Twitter feed has good stuff and is followed by other experts.

at high numbers before Omicron so they were already experiencing high Delta numbers before this Omicron spike.

It does look more like London has plateaued, though they only show cases by specimen date for regions, and it's harder to see trends over the last few days with that.
