...and yet "they" didn't bump her off while she sat in prison.
Sometimes a suicide is just a suicide.

Ghislaine seems to have some powerful, intriquing options.

What is it you think they are waiting for?

(8,387 posts)But there is only one of the various Epstein victims who have testified in trials, appeared in documentaries, etc. who mentions having been abused by anyone other than Epstein.
Its so bizarre that no one seems to care what the actual victims have said about any of it.
But, here they come

(5,126 posts)Epstein might have believed she was his fail safe and when she was confronted with it, she assured Trump/Barr et. al. that the fail safe was now her own and it would be in all of their best interest for Epstein to disappear.

They lying too?

(7,510 posts)The DoJ is unable to protect them or trace down any threats to them. Its amazing that Giuffre manages to get away with it, but the others cant.

(5,744 posts)While Epstein was acquainted with a number of wealthy/famous people, maybe his quest for underage young women was a secret that he shared with very few people.
My guess is that wealthy/politically powerful people have good instincts about who to really trust. I don't see Epstein as one who would pass that test. At least to the point that they would commit a sex crime that he arranged.
With Andrew it's different. I think the royals probably don't have that same instinct. Other than being very average in intelligence, the royals are sheltered and have little street smarts. I could see Andrew allowing himself to get pulled in.
Clinton and Trump would have put their heads down and ran. Neither of them would allow Epstein to have that type of leverage on them.
That's just my thought.

(15,751 posts)Didn't the occupants of the planes, have an idea of where they were going?
Effete Snob
(8,387 posts)Then you would know that, yes, everyone knew where they were going on Epstein's plane.
For example, Trump and members of his family were flown from Florida to New York several times, and Clinton was flown to various engagements of the Clinton Foundation (which probably provided a tax writeoff for donated use of the plane).
To which part of the testimony and evidence are you referring?
Buckeyeblue
(5,744 posts)But he had his own plane which made it attractive to others wanting a ride. I think Epstein sought out celebrities to hang out with. His plane gave him something he could offer people like Bill Clinton--a free ride.
I think Epstein kept his sex crimes to himself...or at least a small circle of people. Otherwise, I think more names would have come out during the trial...and the names of people who caught a ride on the plane don't count.

(8,387 posts)Wouldn't it have been a lot easier to simply kill him when he was out walking around free? A random street shooting?
No, instead they have to put him in jail to get lots of media attention and then bribe guards, monkey with cameras, etc. and so on.
The NYC medical examiner is also corrupt, yes?

(8,387 posts)Epstein was in Paris prior to flying back to the US and being arrested.
But the people who can engineer getting into and out of a US federal prison in order to kill him, were worried about getting caught committing a burglary at a private residence? Or even just going in, holding him at gunpoint, ransacking the place and shooting him?
