the ties that bound the CSA and the British would have been very strong. Hitler would have been the enemy of both, IF he had even happened.

They sent a sizable part of their navy to both US coasts and were greeted as heroes in NYC and San Francisco. even with slavery, they never had an economy or civil system that wasn't bolstered up by the north; and for the most part, that continues today - the confederate states receive more federal money than they send. The northern and blue states pay for it.

If the Confederacy had won the war - or even stalemated enough that they got to be a separate country - their economy would have failed within a generation. Or possibly England would have seen an easy opportunity to get some of their land back; or some other country would have seen a good opportunity to take some land.
