There are no military bases near Restaurant 604 in Honolulu, and there is only a Burger King on the grounds of the Schofield base. Unless Burger King has recently changed its name to 604 Restaurant, there will likely be a bunch of confused civilians wondering around the barracks. Likewise, there could be a bunch of Trumpers patiently waiting for Presler to show up at Restaurant 604 in Honolulu. Not sure what the seating capacity of either joint may be, but I am sure either one can accommodate all of 50 or so morons willing to pay $50 to hear the loser speak.

Schofield Barracks is commanded by Maj Gen Joseph Ryan, who also commands the 25th Infantry Division.

Lt Gen Charles Flynn is commanding general of USARPAC, United States Army Pacific, headquartered at Fort Shafter in Honolulu.

The Senate confirmed his promotion to General (4 stars from his current Lt Gen’s 3) shortly before Christmas. The promotion now is on the President’s desk for his signature.

Although Schofield falls under his overall command I doubt his fingerprints would be found anywhere near this.

Initial approval would have been by the MWR facilities facilities rental people. If questions were raised there are a number of stops in the process before it got to Gen Ryan’s desk.

There would be more stops at USARPAC headquarters before it could be kicked to Flynn’s desk. I doubt Schofield people would let get anywhere Gen Ryan’s desk.

As the problem went higher each level would be more and more hesitant to send it on to his/her boss. Subordinates are expected to prevent these kinds of things from ever getting to their boss’s desk. Usually a low level issue like this wouldn’t get more than a few levels up before someone would simply decide, just to avoid fallout from sending it on.

Of course someone from upstairs might let some hint reach a lower level their feelings on the matter. Not an order or suggestion, perhaps just a hint of their general thoughts on similar situations elsewhere. That would speed it’s way down the chain much quicker than going up it.

Any direct interference in normal process would have been from a low to mid-level.

May all be a moot point. I don’t believe the 604 Ale House has opened yet.
