They punch above their weight, you gotta give them that.

(19,095 posts)But the general public is bad at math. 8% responsible for 75% doesn't hit home for the public, but what that means is that unvaccinated people are 35 times more likely to end up in the hospital for Covid than vaccinated people. It's like playing Russian roulette with a 100 chambered gun, would you rather have 1 bullet in those 100 chambers or 35 bullets?
And the small number of vaccinated people who end up in the hospital are likely people with other serious health problems. And once both groups are in the hospital, the unvaccinated end up in the ICU or dead much more frequently, the vaccinated people end up going home most of the time.
