The screen deployment was deemed to be the most difficult. Should reduce stress levels a bit.

and those that figured out step by step how everything must proceed to get exactly what is needed for this telescope.

I am simply overawed by the planning and the precision of what is happening.

7. Another 5.5 Months Of Setup...

Before it can even start taking images. Then, it will be a few weeks/months after that so scientists can analyze the data before they release pics. So, I'm guessing minimum 8 months or so before we see anything in the public (unless there's something just so dramatic that they have to release it for the great PR).

Hurry up and wait...

Most of the time is spent by rocket scientists arguing about the proper use of the tools.

It'll be good to see some photos from this thing.

Not to worry. They can always get Amazon to deliver them -- in two days if they have a Prime membership.

Astounding, stunning, breathtaking...all the superlatives I can think of fall embarrassingly short.

I'm truly glad I lived to see this and look forward to the amazing discoveries it's going to make.

and how far we still have to go.

120 years ago, powered flight was unimaginable to all but the dreamers. And now, we are discovering secrets of such vast consequence that my own mind cannot grasp them beyond vague, shadowy concepts.
