Biden will be going after Trump tomorrow

At the White House media briefing today, press secretary Jen Psaki flagged that when Joe Biden makes remarks at the US Capitol tomorrow morning to mark the anniversary of the January 6 insurrection by extremist supporters of Donald Trump, he will make a strong statement.

She said Biden “is going to speak to the truth of what happened, not the lies that some have spread since, and the peril it posed to the rule of law and our system of democratic governance.”

She went on to say that the current US president will also talk of the work still needed to strengthen American democracy “to reject the hate and lies we saw on January 6 and to unite our country.”

Psaki said: “President Biden has been clear-eyed about the threat the former president represents to our democracy and how the former president constantly works to undermine basic American values and the rule of law. And President Biden has of course spoken repeatedly about how the former president abused his office, undermined the constitution and ignored his oath to the American people in an effort to amass more power for himself. and his allies.”

Biden, the White House continued, “sees January 6 as the tragic culmination of what those four years under President Trump did to our country and they reflected the importance to the president of winning … the battle for the soul of our nation.”

“I would expect that President Biden will lay out the significance of what happened at the Capitol and the singular responsibility President Trump has for the chaos and carnage that we saw,” Psaki said.

Like Trump going Col. Jessup (referencing Jack Nicholson's character in "A Few Good Men&quot .

Cause you know deep down inside Trump wants to proudly admit to it all, like all narcissists do.

that that is why the Repubs wouldn't let him give his speech. He can't help himself and needs to constantly brag about what he has done, many times incriminating himself in one way of the other. The Repubs didn't want to give the Dems any more ammunition in going after him..........

We are seeing a superb One-two punch presentation, a power-point presentation (so to speak) of responsibility and cause and effect and legal ramifications for those who violate public space.

Biden can't prosecute but he can name names and remind America that Jan 6th was the direct result of Trump's rejection of the US tradition of 'peaceful transfer of power', something Garland mentioned in his speech.

For Biden, it is not personal.
It is Presidential.

Biden will bring an extra hitch to his swing and nail it.

Trumpy-Boy will get flattened. Now is the time.

Trumpy-Boy’s hard core fascists will continue to plot for an overthrow, but Biden will see to it that those on the margins will abandon the would-be dictator. This will be political theater at its best.

This circumstance is far different when it comes to leaving former Presidents alone.

While still POTUS, TFG was involved in the overthrow attempt. It was at his invitation that the terrorists stormed the Capitol and wreaked havoc. His thuggish attempts to reverse the vote counts in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, is all on record. There is no denying his voice on those phone conversations. No denying his involvement from the very beginning to NEVER concede the Election to Joe Biden.

What Joe will say tomorrow will be the shattering TRUTH about the events of Jan.6th. If it angers TFG, tough shit!

The Jan.6th Committee is setting its sites on the big fish himself. Sherrif Thompson snd his Chief Deputy Liz Cheney, are going to be relentless. Joe knows this. Laying the responsibility of all this on TFG and his accomplices, should make Republicans on Capitol Hill take notice that they are not in the clear.

28. Biden to squarely blame Trump for Jan. 6 assault
Thu Jan 6, 2022, 01:47 AM
Jan 2022

I hope that Joe keeps on calling TFG the former guy

President Biden will squarely blame former president Donald Trump for the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, and for continuing to propagate falsehoods and unrest over the past year, when he speaks Thursday on the first anniversary of the insurrection.

“President Biden will lay out the significance of what happened at the Capitol, the singular responsibility President Trump has for the chaos and carnage that we saw,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday. She added that Biden “has been clear-eyed about the threat the former president represents to our democracy and how the former president constantly works to undermine basic American values and rule of law.”

Biden has criticized Trump by name on only a few occasions during his first year in office, and aides have made it clear he is reluctant to stir partisan fires or elevate Trump’s falsehoods. But some Democrats argue that Biden urgently needs to take on Trump more directly as the leader of a movement that is challenging America’s democracy.....

For all that, it remains unclear if Biden will call out Trump explicitly by name. He has done so before, but at other times he has referred to his predecessor indirectly, on one much-noted occasion calling him “the former guy.”
