They never accept the facts and instead make up their own reality. Cruz screwed up and admitted on camera the truth, and you can bet if there wasn't a tape of it he would be claiming he never said it now.
He just screwed himself for a run again for the president, and maybe tuned off enough trumpers to not return as a Senator from Texas from losing their votes. He gave Democrats an opening to replace him for this, and that Democrat running against him should remind them what he called them , over and over again.
