covid death count in Florida is suspicious

Today 3 dead, yesterday as well. Meanwhile they are posting tens of thousands of new cases and presumably have quite a few in the hospital. Their daily death count has been in the single digits for a while. This is strange considering that most other states have an order of magnitude more daily.
Maybe Floridians are super-duper resistant to covid?? More likely the reporting is suspicious.

They apparently wait 6 weeks before reporting anything, then do it in batches so the numbers get buried along with the dead (and probably still filled to the brim with BS). DeSatan should be thrown in jail for his actions killing so many and lying to the public about it

Per Worldometer, they have about 10% of the cases nationwide, but under 0.1% of deaths.
Being in Florida causes a 100 fold disproportionation of their numbers? Pretty hard to believe.

That number on December 16 was 62,191. I noted it in this thread at the time:

https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=16153075

They delay reporting deaths, and then add them back in on the date the deaths happened. So, today, 23 days later, the total deaths in Florida at Worldometers reads 62,628 (and they may not be caught up with the extra delays from the holidays). Meantime, they've been reporting 0 or 1 or 2 deaths per day. It's dishonest and sneaky as hell what they're doing.

It's sloppy reporting of data, and it hides peaks & short term trends.
After all that, i still doubt the veracity of their reported values.

statistics on his Twitter feed and literally gets flamed by DeSantis' press people for doing it. Apparently FL only does a weekly data dump late on Friday. He also broadcasts daily hospital stats from a private source. This is yesterday's data dump:

the numbers that are reported since so many go untested or unreported. This applies to most, if not all, of the states. People may have it but can't get a test or choose not to test.

They have been instructed in many instances to report cause of death as respiratory failure
or of cardiac failure. Something that could actually be true but not the primary reason.

Unless there is a covid test that came back positive then its just counted as something else. They probably also do not test postmortem on purpose.

They delay reporting the deaths, sometimes for weeks, and then add them back to the dates the deaths happened. That why the total deaths number is where you see the increase.

Florida has been obscuring the number of daily reported Covid deaths for months now. They're probably underreporting them as well.

At one point he was trying to claim that “snowbird” deaths from Covid should be counted in their home state even though they died here in Florida.

His administration has done everything it can to undercount and downplay Covid cases and deaths.

Ultimately the truth will come out.
In this case statistics will not lie.

If the state has final reports indicating many more deaths than normal for flu or heart failure or pneumonia or whatever they will be considered as Covid cases by reliable authorities.

This method is used by scientists to study past pandemics to determine fatalities from the disease as far back as the Black Death.
