My Dad went into the Navy when he was 19 years old, and it was WWII in 1944. Not sure if I ever heard the whole story, but the cleaned up version is that he went drinking with his buddies one night. Woke up the next morning with a tattoo on his forearm, and couldn't remember how it got there. It was a skull and crossbones with a dagger going through it. (Nothing political or Nazi.) Well my Dad grew up and got married, became a father of 9 children and pursued his career as an executive in an engineering firm. He wore long sleeve shirts for his entire adult life in order to cover up that tattoo. He hated that tattoo, and as a result none of his children or grandchildren have ever done such a dumb thing.

A couple hours later, there he is and this dumbass is bringing him in. They knew it was the dude but ignored me. I had to tell him no because of the tats, then got into it with the recruiter. My bus, my call. My supervisor backed me up. They didn't see the tats but had to take my word for it.
