If you don't capitalize the pronoun "I", and you are not e.e. cummings, I am not going to read anything you write, "el gato malo".

We all want to believe that omicron will kill delta and become like the annual flu.

We should know after two years that we can't assume anything. The poster has decided to make this assessment an accusation against those who, after almost a million American deaths, aren't quite ready to party hearty yet. "el gato malo" is an unpleasant person, and not just because of the capitalization issue.

My immediate family has done nothing risky since the whole thing started. My wife’s evil right wing brothers are forcing/blackmailing my in-laws to move into assisted living during a pandemic or they won’t support them.
