Sure, the Packers had already secured the No.1 seed in the NFC, but he started the game, so he must have had some investment in the outcome! C-C-Could it be that Holy Aaron is NOT the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ???
Fact Check - Rodgers is an overrated One-Ringer who won the Big Game a decade ago, and has been cruising on it ever since!
Personally, I'm hoping he gets blown out in the first game he plays in the postseason. Maybe then His Devoted Acolytes will finally get the message and STFU!!!

(31,392 posts)as far as I'm concerned. I'll be very happy when AR is no longer at the helm, and I don't really care how it happens. Quit, fired, injury? fine by me.

(1,734 posts)Mahomes has horrible mechanics but huge athletic abilities that allow him to compensate - until he doesnt. Mahomess game will deteriorate much quicker as age and wear and tear slowly chip away at that athletic advantage. Unless Patrick devotes the time to clean up his mechanical game, hes not going to play at an elite level until hes 40.

(2,403 posts)And by that I mean rationalize a wrong to justify it in your mind.
The guy is an asshole. His own family cant stand him.

(2,617 posts)But as a Packer fan, I admire his athleticism as he hopefully leads us to the Superbowl.
There are a lot of assholes out there, some we know of, others we don't. Day after day we read from people here who shop at Amazon although Bezos is an ass, who shop at Walmart knowing fully well that Walmart's business model has ruined small towns and destroyed small businesses all over America for decades, and likely a host of other scenarios that go both recognized as well as unrecognized.
Aaron is just visible, and so it's easy for people to pour on the hate.

(76,123 posts)But, I think it's nearly impossible for a receiver to win season MVP.
The voters will always consider that a receiver is nothing until the QB throws the ball in their direction.
Of course, really good receivers get the ball thrown their way because they're great at getting open & will shag contested balls.
But, I can't imagine any wide receiver ever having a good enough season to get enough votes for MVP in this age of the quarterback. Even one who has had the outstanding season that Cupp had.

(2,617 posts)I enjoyed watching him as a Badger, and have enjoyed watching him in the few Colts games I've seen.
Your take on the Packers is pretty much how I feel about Brady and the Bucs.

(4,488 posts)I'm glad they pulled him from the game and put the other QB in. I don't like Rodgers but I love the Packers so I want him healthy for post-season games. Go Packers!

(2,403 posts)Packers got lucky twice in a row pulling two hall of fame QBs. But that guy is nowhere near a starting caliber QB in the NFL.

(37,171 posts)and threw 2 TDs. His back up played the rest. He is the highest rated QB in the history of the game 4 time MVP and will be in the Hall of Fame.
His teams defense lost this game. He is anything but over rated.

(37,171 posts)Top NFC seed and he is favorite for the MVP for the second year in a row.
How is he over-rated? Rings are great, but it takes a team to win, but he has single handedly brought his team into the post season probably more than any other modern QB

I'm not a Rodgers fan but its ludicrous to say he's over-rated as a quarterback and no one with a basic knowledge of the game would make that claim.
