It's heartbreaking.

There is a Go Fund Me to help the families who lost family members and displaced residents. I believe this is legit, as it was shared by people who work for NY1 (tv station) and some other notable NYers:

I know was upset about this yesterday. I am in a different borough, but this level of this fire is shocking. The chief of the department was visibly upset when interviewed. 9 children had died (as of last night). 19 all together.

This is one of those cases where NYers will come together and try to do their best for the people affected.

. apartment was cause of fire (Bronx News.). Lives lost is always a sad occurrence

A tragedy like this is a reminder to take precautions, so I checked smoke alarm--batteries needed to be replaced and also checked cost to get carbon monoxide detector..since family of 7 were found dead in their home due to carbon monoxide poisoning a few weeks ago.

You need one warm room.

If their electricity is on of course.

Turning off utilities in winter in the North land is next door to murder.

it is illegal to turn off electricity to residential consumers in winter.

It’s easy. Stop giving away money and the right to kill people to private profiteers.

Make utilities taxpayer owned.

The public good comes first…what a concept in a democracy where all folk are constitutionally equal with equal rights.
