I was shocked at the lack of irony in an elderly R woman whose pension and SS weren't quite enough to live on so she was looking for a part-time job. I wanted to say "Lady, WTF are you an R? You're supporting people who hate pensions and SS." Another guy was a member of the Ronald Reagan Club who met every month to sing his praises over burgers and beer. He served very briefly in the armed forces and bragged about how he was taking advantage of the VA for his medical care. Fuck, I hate living among these ridiculous people.
