Should Jim Jordan be subpoenaed to appear before the Committee?

Rep. Jim Jordan turned down a request from the Committee to appear before them to discuss what exactly he knew about January 6th and to inform them of what his phone calls with TFG were all about? It is reported that he is getting advice from the Trump team to ignore the Committee's request.

The Committee is left with little choice but to subpoena him. If he still refuses to talk, then they should make a criminal referral to the DOJ. No doubt, the Trump team will tell him to take it to court. Because that is what they do.

It is rather strange that committees of Congress can request or subpoena people like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to appear before them and be questioned for 10 to 12 hours continuously but the same folks in Congress are exempt from such questioning?

Does the debate loophole in the law protect Congressmen from testifying before the Congress? I would think the courts would say that must respond when there is a possible criminal act involved, much like Congressmen must appear before the Ethics Committee when they are charged with an ethics violation. Obviously, they are not totally exempt from oversight.

Trump game of court-to-court-to-court and run out the clock. They should just take what they've gathered from the willing participants and make referrals to the Justice Department.

Could he carry on a gish-gallop for 10+ hours.

I suspect the answer is yes - he would just repeat his material over and over.

There are discrepancies between his spoken words and the evidence he has provided. Testimony is the only way to discern the truth. You better bet he'll be subpoenaed...and he'll turn it into a circus, but it's not.

and the Democrats will do nothing to compel him. There will be no consequences to this or being part of an insurrection.
And it will only embolden them to do more.
But at least we won't look "political"

If "no one is above the law" Jordan has to talk or plead the 5th...but as already noted, it could drag into next year.

Apparently, Jefferson Davis was eager to implicate William Seward in John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry, and Seward testified in front of that investigatory committee:
