(2,234 posts)Hubby voted Monday, and I voted yesterday. The early voting center in Columbus had some drama Monday morning when a truck pasted up with Rmoney signs parked inside the DMZ
and refused to move. From what I heard, the sheriff had to be called to make them park farther away. However, by the time hubby got there Monday afternoon, all was peaceful.
We were both impressed with our voting experience this time around. Everyone was friendly, helpful, efficient. When I voted at my precinct in the primary, I was verbally assaulted by Helga the Voting Nazi, about 100 years old and mean as hell to anyone under 85. I actually complained to the BOE about her behavior. This time, I'm very happy with the experience...and will be even happier if my vote is counted.

(10,099 posts)I voted last Thursday in Dekalb County, GA (Atlanta suburbs.) Hubby voted Monday. Two blue votes in a red state.
The polls were very busy. The poll workers told me it's been busy ever since early voting began in GA Oct. 15.

Obama, of course
Jimmy Farris to unseat the useless Raul Labrador - a man named after a dog, and one would be a better congressman
All the downticket Dems
Yes to change county government to manager-council
No on all three Luna-tic education destruction laws
No on embedding the right to hunt in the constitution.
I did vote for someone not a Democrat. Our community college has elected trustees. One of the candidates is a fireman who's been trying to get an elected seat in something for quite some time. I know him, and if he gets elected to something he'll be really good. So I voted for him. It's a nonpartisan post and he can't really hurt anything anyway.
