Like many here, I've had a lot of anxiety over the ongoing attempts to dismantle democracy. Then I try to imagine what it must have been like to be in the African American community fighting for the most basic rights, for hundreds of years. They were willing to risk their lives for justice, and faced far bleaker prospects.

But they NEVER gave up.

We mustn't either.

You can't sugar coat yesterday and no one should, it was devastating. Yet, that will not change the fight goes on for as long as necessary.
