Or will they decide that we need a "real Democrat" in race, potentially splitting the anti-Sinema vote?

Mr.Bill
(24,319 posts)so I don't understand exactly what you are asking. What would they do to stop him, exactly?
Why is their permission required? Are they that powerful in Arizona?

What I know of Representative Gallego raises no concerns for me and I doubt that anyone will actually seek to prohibit him from tossing his cap into the ring, especially in Arizona.

(25,555 posts)AZ is kinda conservative. I think Gallego is a good fit. He seems no-nonsense and practical. Sinema is too erratic.

(94,727 posts)I'm observing that Justice Democrats and Our Revolution have a tendency to run candidates against Democrats they seem to think are insufficiently progressive, and Ruben Gallego, while a certain improvement over Sinema, may not be seen as a "real" progressive in their book.

(25,555 posts)He will be somewhat conservative, but not erratic like Sinema.
Sinema seems to have some mental health issues going on.
I don't think an OR or JD will win in AZ. Sinema's 2018 primary challenger was with them. She lost big time.
