Out of the utmost caution, I just canceled dinner plans

I suddenly started feeling like I do when I get a cold, and I'm running a little over a 1 degree temp. I've been SO careful, rarely going out, but now I'm hypersensitive to anything about my health that doesn't feel 'normal'. The last time I went out was Friday, and it was Thursday when the check out clerk coughed into the crook of her arm and told me she really didn't feel well. This happened right as I paid. We were both masked and at a distance. I have no headache, no trouble breathing, no sore throat, no body pain, no dry coughing, no fatigue. Just raging paranoia.

I hate living like this.

Gather those beautiful kitties you have and relax in their care. Having loving pets around calm the mind, lower blood pressure, grab the benefits of your pets.

And, since my sense of taste and smell are intact, I'll make something pasta related for dinner, and finish up that tasty garlic bread.

...the couple of times I could get a hold of the hard-to-find home tests. Since this happens to me every winter, even these past two years when I've been isolated from mixing with a lot of people, I'm beginning to think it has more to the dry indoor air during the winter, and/or some kind of dust allergy exacerbated by our forced hot air heating system.

I'd LOVE to get a couple of tests, just to keep on hand.

Tomorrow I think I'll make a pot of garlic intense soup, of some sort. If I do have some sort of virus, that usually helps me shake it off. Meanwhile, I'm going to keep VERY hydrated - and not with Chardonnay. I'll stick to juice, tea and water, for now. And maybe an emergency hot toddy,

One time I was sneezing a lot. Another time, I felt blah and had a minor tickle at the back of my throat. Since I have year round multiple allergies, I hoped that's all it was and apparently that was it because within 24 hours I felt better. I stayed home a few days to be sure.

I picked up 2 home tests at CVS after that so I can check myself. That was before they got so scarce.

I never stopped wearing masks even after I was fully vaccinated, last February, then boosted last fall. Going out in public only in necessary circumstances or to replenish, food, cleaning health and pet supplies. Omicron, being very contagious, causes me to worry about myself and loved ones more so. So many unmasked people, out there, too.

I hope you start feeling better very soon and don't get any more symptoms. Take care of yourself, rest, drink plenty of fluids, and or whatever feels right. Take care, and enjoy the kitties, and be safe and well.

THAT will probably be taken care of, this week.

I was exposed to Covid, back in February of 2020 and never developed any symptoms. This newest variant being so contagious just worries me.

It is not worth the risk. Even if you have a mild case you can have longterm effects. Plus I have seen many cases of vaxed and boosted still getting it and or transmitting it with O. N95 or kn95 will protect us hopefully most of the time.

One’s all better — it was over Christmas.

The other’s teenage daughter was back in school and her cheerleader “duties” had her at indoor sports events and she is currently sick. After 5 days she was better, so they retested at home and according to her dad the test stick lit up even more than before.

So all of us kept our distance in the street. I was trying to stay upwind, but the wind kept shifting.

Yes, I hate being this paranoid. Crap, crap, crap.

You get better quick.

Funny though how we have all turned into hypochondriacs. My throat was sore this AM and head a bit achy. I know I have had several opportunities for exposure. Covid? No. Coffee and some water took care of my problem. Like I said hypochondriacs. 🙂

I’ve been self-quarantining since Thursday. I have mild cold symptoms. Not taking any chances. I canceled a medical appointment over this. i get an official rapid test tomorrow.

Can’t be too cautious anymore. And I agree, It sucks.

all I spoke with had 2x vax. when the vaccines first came out; most contracted it last month. I double mask and the first mask is a serious large 3 filter medical grade and covered by a double cloth mask.
I also wear safety glasses. I only take off masks to eat or drink and I wander off as far away possible from anyone.
This latest variant is aggressive as hell.
Hope I can continue to stay clear, but this shit is real.
