Imagine if it was decided that Trump was no longer entitled to Secret Service protection unless and until he is completely exonerated of any crimes he may have committed while in office, particularly with respect to the January 6 insurrection.
Given his well-known paranoia, he'd have a total meltdown. He would have to hire (and pay for) a private security detail, his beloved Mara Lago would be surrounded by barbed wire fencing, and he'd never risk attending another rally.
He'd be too terrified to golf for fear of long-range snipers - and between his former supporters who are pissed-off at him and the violence he's encouraged - he'd be constantly fearful of who was "out to get him".
Bonus outcomes: He'd change his position on gun control overnight, he'd stop issuing his "statements from 45" for fear of infuriating someone who might read them, and even grovelers like Lindsey Graham would be barred from Mara Lago because he'd be too paranoid to allow anyone to get that close.
I can dream, can't I?

(while refusing to release his tax returns which would show the facts)
No good reason why American taxpayers should be required to pay for his protection. Let him 'pull up his own bootstraps' and pay his own way.
The fact that the average hard-working tax-paying American, should be opposed by the vast powers of the Secret Service seems a little unfair to me, in this case of a fascist wannabe... not exactly "sporting", is it?
