GOP leadership 'should have never certified the election on January 6'Former President Donald Trump's political action committee sent House Republicans a book from a conservative writer and a note, signed by Trump, that said House GOP leadership "should have never certified" the results of the 2020 election on January 6, 2021, Politico Playbook reported.
Trump's Save America PAC sent House Republicans a copy of writer Mollie Hemingway's book "RIGGED: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections," according to Politico. The accompanying note repeated Trump's thoroughly debunked lies about fraud in the 2020 election.
"There is no question. American democracy was under siege during the 2020 Presidential election," Trump wrote.
The note went on to say: "Republican leadership should have never certified the election on January 6, and now, Democrats will not stop their assault on America our freedom, faith, family, and values. I will never stop fighting for the country we love. I hope you find this book informative and encouraging in your battle for the heart of our nation."

Hey dipshit, how does a party in charge become victim of a conspiracy? One has to be a special kind of stupid to believe this.

(11,767 posts)I think we need to look at who we are dealing with. Trump is a narcissist. He LITERALLY cannot view the world from anyone's perspective but his own. Our perspective certainly is the primary lens through which we interpret information but most people with typical emotional and cognitive function, can step outside of their own perspective enough to see how other people may be experiencing things. Trump cannot. Every piece of information that he takes in, whether it is about him or not, is filtered through "How does this affect me". When he tells stories about say, victims of crime, like the "Angel Moms" or whatever, he CANNOT help but to turn their story into a story about himself.
He is convinced that his perspective is the perspective on the election. Republicans thought they were getting a B list celebrity that they could control to advance their agenda. What they got is a severely mentally ill person who thinks that his agenda is the agenda of everyone, or should be. At this point, they have to ride the wave, or admit that they gambled on a madman to advance their desires. They are unlikely to admit that until it is their own personal destruction at stake.
The word "stupid" is accurate, especially in light of Bonhoeffer's Theory of Stupidity.
