creating law? I think what is forgotten in this debate is that we have Biden to veto any R legislation that the senate under Mitch's control would pass. Granted there are still department positions and ambassadorships that need senate confirmation but Mitch is holding up the vote on those that Biden has nominated so that argument is moot. The only argument that has merit for Sinema not going R is that her position as a D, and her vote as a D, would allow Biden to expand the courts and change to the courts. of Committee chairmanships. If McConnell becomes majority leader, all the Democratic Senators might just as well go home. And for that matter, the House, too. No Democratic bill will come to the Senate floor for a vote, period. And if something happens to a Democratic Supreme Court Justice, as long as McConnel is in charge the vacancy will be filled by the next republican President, even if it's not until 2032.
