The time away from my wife is wearing me down and I have no one to talk to

I have never felt more alone and empty in my life.

1. Where is she?

I hope she is well and that you can be together again soon.

4. You could seek some therapy.

It could help you cope until your situation is resolved.

Iím sure many here who know your story are wishing you well.

5. Join a local walking group on Meetup.com

It's a great way to get out and talk with people while getting exercise.

It won't take the place of your wife but it will distract you from your loneliness, and exercise increases serotonin levels.

6. I'm sorry

I guess it's hard to communicate with people in China?

I agree that getting out and exercising, if you can, will help your mental state. But otherwise, places like this and other social media can make a (poor, I know) substitute.

I haven't seen any family members for over two years, and I see friends rarely, but luckily I work remotely and everyone is pretty good about keeping in contact.

7. does she know this?

if not, you'd better tell her. Maybe there is something she can do, communications-wise.

In the meantime, can you write her letters and emails?

8. How much longer before you can go to China and join her?

I'm sorry her immigration here fell through.
