(113 posts)this lawyer should insist on being paid up front, given TFG has a long history of stiffing everyone.

BTW all of TFG's real lawyers from Porter Wright quit when he was trying to contest the election
because they liked their law licenses and TFG wanted them to suborn perjury or perjure themselves.

(26,146 posts)parking garage company, a funky CPA firm (with the overestimating asset values for loan purposes and underestimating asset values for tax purposes (by the way, where in the heck were regulators when they received these questionable numbers/estimates)), and there's got to be a company in there somewhere that spearheads 'Questionable, But Acceptable Business Practices'.
I recalled that I had to provide backup documentation on asset valuations on some of my tax filings, for establishing depreciation schedules, etc. among other things), and in addition, when the state of MO went to a process of estimating values of properties, you could dispute the state-provided valuations w/ the state, but you had to provide ample proof/evidence, as to why the state-provided valuations were too high, e.g., a comparable property sold lower in prior year, etc. This wasn't too terrible of a burden per some of my friends who underwent the process, but it sure could have been.
