1. Too big of a financial risk. The time it could take would eat up

a significant chunk of an already very condensed athletic career. Those guys don't get 30 or 40 years. That would be a lot to ask of them.

They've already shown a willingness to help during protests, charitable giving and with their time. They definitely do more than their share for communities.

and they are some of the billionaires who have clout in Congress.

I think things would move pretty quickly if the players brought sports to its knees, especially football and basketball....

does not equate to the issue of voting rights. You can report that back to headquarters….

I think the right’s attempt to shut down free and fair elections is going to bite them in the ass one day soon.

I certainly think a player boycott could apply plenty of pressure. I also think a boycott by all or most black athletes for a significant period of time, along with the associated lost income is unrealistic if not impossible. Getting that level of buy-in couldn't happen in my opinion.

NBA playoffs.

Do you know who would be screaming the loudest, besides the fans?

Las Vegas, and the other of betting capitals of the world! There would be billions, possibly hundreds of billions of dollars potentially lost if the black superstars just said, "Fuck You".

Maybe Manchin & Sinema would get the message from the billionaires funding their insurrection then.
