It has now been over 48 hours---2 news cycles---since President Biden's lengthy

press conference during which he repeatedly asked "What are the Republicans FOR? What is Mitch FOR?"

If tfg or Mitch had challenged Democrats to state what we are for, I venture to say that several prominent members of our party would have been on the news programs the same day to proudly explain what we are for, what we want to accomplish and how we propose to do it.

So far, from tfg's party---unless I missed it---------(crickets)--------

I suspect that somewhere, paid GOP spin doctors and bumper sticker authors are mulling over their options.

BEAVIS: "How about-----no, not that! We could always say that we----Nah, no one would buy that! Taxes! Tell 'em we'll lower their taxes and---and---and increase Social Security benefits and cancel all their credit card debt and---and---and PONIES! We'll give every American a Pony!"

BUTTHEAD: "Heh-heh---that's lame, dude! We could never do all that!"

BEAVIS: "So? We don't have to DO it! Just SAY we will do it. Like always!"

BUTTHEAD: "Heh-heh, heh-heh!

I've seen a few responses on TV and the 'net from some Repub characters. Probably not many here watch the places where they spout their stuff.

And no, I'm not going to repeat their right-wing talking points.
