(17,425 posts)How could CNN listen to that bullshit and not follow up with at least one question about her votes against The John Lewis Voting Rights Act, her votes for Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett, or mention January 6 and the Retrumplicans attempts to overthrow Democracy in America?
That is CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE
No republican't should be allowed to escape the truth.

(23,869 posts)True, they do have some good reporters but I feel the real thrust of their message is anti-Biden.

(35,176 posts)would anyone ask Joni Ernst about anything? CNN giving her a chance to strut her stuff which means anybody who turned on CNN this morning should know she has no stuff to strut, or at least nothing of substance. Joni Ernst? Why?

(10,943 posts)... she attacked the Biden Administration for appeasement. She never answered the last question - What would she do? She just ran out the clock complaining about the Biden Administration #1) doing nothing & #2) sending aid as money. And the host never challenged her on that... they need to go over time limits for a piece of work like Joni Ernest. A deplorable interview!

(17,425 posts)and NOT following up with questions about the importance of Democracy in America is either being stupid, or doing so intentionally.

(15,424 posts)I can remember what Mother Theresa said when someone asked her what we can do to help. That someone was thinking donations to foundations or the like, you know, throwing money at it, which is the American way. Remember what she said?
Love your family.
It is a good thing for all of us, including Joni Ernst, to remember that democracy and the rights of women starts in our own back yard. Let's fix things here, first.

(4,298 posts)TRUMP, with his love quest for all things autocratic including loving and groveling at the feet of Kim and Putin, has done more to harm our democracy than any single person in history. He has set the stage for Putin and Kim to believe that they now have partners within the ranks of the GOP Senate and House who will knee-cap almost anything Biden wants to do but obstructing his every move at governing for the people. Putin knows that Biden will not be able to garner enough votes among the Congress to take any harsh negative action against Putin alone and Trump has weakened even our ability to be trusted to work with our allies simply because the world sees exactly what the GOP has done, is doing and likely will continue to do throughout the Biden/Harris administration.
Even if Biden has the will to act alone (and I think he does) he will at once be attacked by the GOP for either doing too much or doing too little, which ever meets their fancy at the time. The GOP is a treacherous bundh of greedy, fascists racist at this point. They use their base for political fodder but the care nothing about them either. If they did, they would have joined with Biden in passing BBB and voting rights legislation. No matter what happens, we MUST have Biden's back at this time. We can sort things out later but we must be unified going forward. We can toss Manchin and Sinema out of the equation but the rest of us must stay unified with the purpose of helping Biden be successful with his agenda.
