I'm shocked by all the people who are suddenly realizing this now. It was common knowledge for almost 20 years. His autism-vaccine connection claim, pulled from disgraced researcher Andrew Wakefield, had already been debunked as soon as he trotted it out.

Kennedy made his name in the anti-vaccine movement in 2005, when he published a story alleging a massive conspiracy regarding thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative that had been removed from all childhood vaccines except for some variations of the flu vaccine in 2001. In his piece, Kennedy completely ignored an Institute of Medicine immunization safety review on thimerosal published the previous year; he’s also ignored the nine studies funded or conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that have taken place since 2003.

6. I remember hearing him on "Ring of Fire" on AAR back then.

He did segments on the horrors of thimerosal in vaccines. It was enough to make you ask your doctor if the flu shot you were getting had thimerosal in it.

After all this was debunked he never let go even after he stopped being on the show.

I saw him in action in 1968, shortly after RFK's death. He was entitled, arrogant and someone nobody wanted to be around. He hasn't improved with age.
