(3,501 posts)The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that laws against "hate speech" are unconstitutional due to the First Amendment. So your hypothetical person walking around with a sign that had the N-word on it would probably face repercussions in the form of an ass-whooping, but couldn't be charged with a crime. I suppose a DA might try to charge that hypothetical person with something like disorderly conduct, but it wouldn't go anywhere.

CNN reported that 'Virginia court records show that Packer has a criminal history that includes three convictions for driving under the influence and a felony conviction for forging public records. In 2016, he was charged for allegedly trespassing, though that case was dismissed." He's a real sweetheart.
I wish it was illegal to be a Nazi and he could be jailed just for that.
