Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWell my sister told me yesterday
that her husband tested positive for covid and has a mild case with a little sore throat and fever so I called and asked her how he was today and she said he's feeling better, shesaid he went to a clinic in Van Tx and was given some ivermectin, I just told her I am glad he is feeling better and hope he can fight it off.
They are magaloons but don't advertise it, both are not vaccinated.
If I would have said anything in disagreeing with her she would have been offended so I just keepmy mouth shut.
All my siblings are trumpers and anti vaxxers and older than me and I'm 60.
I truly hope he gets ok and at least he won't have worms, he is a retired lieutenant from Houston police dept, I thought he was smarter than this but they are avid fox watchers and evangelical to the core...

They all think I'm stupid for being fully vaccinated.

(4,598 posts)After you've been vaxxed months now, and you haven't grown an extra hand or started beeping.
I don't understand these people-- it's like they can't even believe their own eyes. Here they see you have no problems with the vaccination, but instead of thinking maybe it's not so bad, they continue to insist TO YOU that you did bad.
Oh, well, hope they recover without incident.

(8,910 posts)covid, he has always been pretty healthy.
I just don't get why anyone would use ivermectin though and a clinic giving it out.

(6,123 posts)He also had other meds, too. I think he just was covering the bases just in case. A local doctor prescribed it, so at least he was not self medicating. No amount of explaining to him why it was not recommended would dissuade him. He offered to get my husband some
A while back, but he declined. Were vaxxed and boosted and it was only a slight cold. No need for ivermectin. Thanks, but no thanks for the offer.

(17,802 posts)You REALLY don't to be pummeling your system with witch doctor brews. Even if it only causes mild side affects, those can reduce your ability to fight the prime infection.
It's like trying to run a marathon with one shoe and one sneaker, each a different height.
It might not affect you normally, but in extreme stress, it can take you out.

(6,123 posts)It is nearly impossible to penetrate the shield around their determination to believe. My husband warned him as much as he thought hed hear but indoctrination was pretty well baked in the cake. It will be worth formal studies to see exactly how they were brain washed and to see who was most vulnerable to the manipulation. For the record, this man is highly religious evangelical. He is also a very highly ethical man who does much work on behalf of those who cannot afford his services. But he also has a lot of fear of government overreach and that is fueled largely by his wife who has nothing better to do than listen to conspiracy theories and false information about Covid. He is aware of our vaccinations and boosters and has never said anything negative towards that. But we have worried a lot about him since he comes into contact with the public at his business. We think he may have had Covid since he had a part time employee who tested positive for it. But Im pretty sure he never admitted he had it, just that he got ivermectin from a local doctor. Just in case ..🤷🏻♀️
