I personally am horrified at some of the things I've been seeing online lately and I think we are closer to forgetting and allowing something like this to creep back up again than we realize, especially when the leader of a cult is clearly a bigot, and uses hatred, fear and scapegoating on a regular basis, and is attempting to seize power in our very own country.

The 6 million refers to the Shoah - and the Shoah is only a part of the Holocaust.

If Texas wants an alternative narrative on that period perhaps they should teach that the total toll in deaths was closer to 12 million when Poles; Russians: Romany; Slavs; and other "undesirables" are included in the slaughter list.

Perhaps Texas and similar states could teach these facts as the alternative Holocaust information and remind future citizens how the type of fascism currently used against women in Texas can grow into the evil genocide that has been repeated frequently since WW2.

10. What really angers me...

...is the number of people who HATE the Jews but have no problem pretending to be persecuted like us! WTF?!

Can you imagine how bad it might have been had there been social media?

11. I worked with a guy who bragged about

his hatred of Jews. When I challenged him, I discovered that he had never met any, at least not that he knew of.

WTF? How can you hate a whole group of people that you have never known? Obviously he was a sick SOB who "needed" to hate. Felt like I needed a shower every time I had an encounter with him to wash off the stench.

I am not Jewish. After my grandmother died, my grandfather had a SO who was Jewish and came to all extended family events. When I got married, a Jewish friend was my maid of honor. I just don't get the hate BS. I think that the haters are such miserable, twisted beings that they use hatred of others to make themselves feel better. Everyone needs to stand up to them.
