DNC chair Jaime Harrison has considered early exit amid White House tensions

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/dnc-chair-jaime-harrison-has-considered-early-exit-amid-white-n1288208

Key decisions for the committee are made by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Jen O'Malley Dillon, who speaks frequently with other DNC officials but only about three times a month by Zoom with Harrison. The limits of his influence are a source of agitation for Harrison, according to several people who have spoken to him.

At the same time, he’s not flying to meet with donors or visiting DNC headquarters. Instead, since he first took the post a year ago, Harrison has mostly stayed in his home state of South Carolina, according to people familiar with his schedule, as well as people who frequently see him around town. That has been a major point of consternation for the White House.

And neither the White House nor Harrison has come up with a cohesive strategy to help President Joe Biden rebound from abysmal approval ratings.

I had hopes for him in the beginning but his seems to be a tepid governance. I wish Howard Dean was in charge again. IMHO he's the best we've had in years.

Pass what can be passed legislatively from BBB: childcare credits, student loan relief, climate action measures.

Pour money into school ventilation systems so that situation stabilizes ASAP.

Something ANYTHING on immigration. Dems are bleeding Hispanic support.

I remember he was bragging about how he allocated so much money for the GOTV in VA. The GOTV sucked. We never got anything about the election except for one local office. We always had tons of mail and door knocks during other campaigns. Even ones in the middle of a pandemic. Donated to his senate campaign but he is not a good fit for DNC chair.

Democratic committee earmarks $400K for Murphy re-election, legislative campaigns
https://democrats.org/news/icymi-nj-com-democratic-committee-earmarks-400k-for-murphy-re-election-legislative-campaigns/

Raised more money than ANY other DNC chair. $141m in 2021.

The DNC raises money and allocates it. They don't run these candidates' races for them. Poor Terry can't blame Harrison. That's just a disgusting cop-out for his own bad campaigning.

...here's Harrison's, buried in a gossipy load of NBC horseshit:

"Harrison urged his critics to end the gossiping and concentrate on political victory.

“My hope is that people who have time to engage in the rumor mills and this and that would actually use that energy to register a few more voters,” he said. “My focus is winning. It’s making sure that we keep the majorities in the House and the Senate. It’s not just for the Democratic Party to win, it’s because I'm legitimately scared, legitimately scared about where this country goes if we lose.”"

What NBC is trying to sell here has jackshit to do with anything Democrats or the President have done.

And for those saying he was not experienced, he was the head of the SC Dem party. Fire him if you wish, but it won't change anything.

The blame has to fall squarely on the shoulders of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and the people around them, and their missteps on policy and messaging.

Biden's choices for Mayorkas as DHS and Garland for AG were terrible, IMO, and a large part of the low poll numbers.

The border/immigration, Afghanistan, poor Covid messaging, inflation, failure to strongly prosecute the traitors, failure on voting rights and BBB - are what are causing Dems' problems.
