(95,244 posts)We are not better than they are because we refuse to employ effective methods to gain our ends. We are better because the ends we seek are better. And all a long list of 'things we can't stoop to' does is communicate that these better ends aren't really desired that much....

Democrats were willing to allow non-partisan redistricting nationwide, but Republicans stopped that from happening.
So, now, we should do it as hard as they do, because if we don't, we're done...not just Democrats, but the USA.

(21,562 posts)If the rethugs don't like it, I encourage them to support the voting rights acts in Congress that ban gerrymandering. Or at least a clean bill against gerrymandering.
The rethugs will stomp and scream... but I won't hold my breath waiting for them to get on board with banning gerrymandering. They know they need to cheat a hell of a lot more than they need the NY seats.
