I follow Worldometers and Russia is seeing huge new highs every day now. I know they are anti-vax and they are dying in large numbers.

...but the oversimplified version = the intractable corruption in that society results in basically no one trusting a thing that the government says. So they have a very good vax (Sputnik V) but they can't get it into peoples' arms.
