"SNIP.......

“Bernie Sanders is still encouraging liberal primary challengers to Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin. The rest of the Democratic caucus is ready to move on and try to keep hold of their fragile majority,” Politico reports.

“Mere days after their two centrists’ high-profile refusal to change chamber rules in order to pass election reform, Democrats say there’s no more time for infighting in a 50-50 Senate.”

.......SNIP"

2. The problem isn't Manchin and Sinema, the problem was those self-identified progressives who refused

to vote for Hillary in the 2016 general election, by either not voting, or voting third party, and encouraging others to do likewise.

We have the Supreme Court we have today because of their contribution, and this includes, roe v wade, workers rights, environmental rights, civil rights, etc.

In every critical swing state, Hillary lost by less than 1%, while Jill Stein received 1% of the vote in those critical swing states.

Instead of worrying about unseating Manchin in West Virgina, which went for trump by over 42%, it would be much wiser to focus on states like Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Georgia, etc.

Manchin and Sinema aren’t even up for re-election in 2022, and this is what he is concerned about?

I've been saying this all along......because it's used as an excuse by them to protect their seats and not vote for Democratic causes.

People who think there is a divine order, support hierarchy. Where some( the rich) are better than poor people because god made them to be poor and suffer.

Conservatism is facism.

And mixing fascism with democracy is incompatible so we get assholes like manchin and senima.

Conservatism and democracy are incompatible.

We have to live in the present and work for the future. Endless ruminating on other people's votes two elections ago is just unhealthy.

re-election until 2024, and how exactly is that going to help us NOW, except perhaps to push them even more toward the republicans in a 50-50 Senate

we need to deal with today's reality, not 2016.

And today's reality is that Manchin and Sinema are not exactly bargaining in good faith.

And before the accusations start flying, I voted for Clinton in 2016; every Democrat I know voted for her.

12. Manchin and Sinema are not even up for election until 2024, and just how does threatening

to primary them help us now, and in the midterms when we are barely hanging onto the majority in the Senate?

Instead of worrying about primarying Manchin and Sinema, how about we worry about winning states like Pennsylvania, NH, etc. That is what will make Manchin and Sinema irrelevant, not useless threats of a primary on them.

and while Manchin and Sinema have not been the most cooperative on our legislative agenda, up to now thy have voted for everyone of Biden’s nominees, and that is important
