T-Mobile issues vaccination ultimatum to office workers in an internal memo

T-Mobile US Inc. (Nasdaq: TMUS) has given its office workers the pandemic ultimatum: get vaccinated from Covid-19 or lose your job.

The Bellevue-based company told employees Friday in an internal memo viewed by the Business Journal, that they would have to be fully vaccinated by April 2. But the first deadline will come sooner, employees must show proof they've taken action to get the first dose by Feb. 21, or they'll be placed on unpaid leave.

Workers at T-Mobile's retail stores and field technicians, however, are exempt from the policy.

Alphabet Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOGL), Google's parent company, has given a similar choice to employees but is giving them six months of unpaid leave before terminating them.

Workers at T-Mobile's retail stores are exempt? They're the ones exposed to the customers.
