It now appears that the Oath Keepers were waiting for the declaration of the Insurrection Act.

That was the purpose of the Executive Orders.

Once Trump signed either of the Executive Orders, the Oath Keepers and the militias would have brought in their guns from the Virginia side and would have taken over the Capitol under the cover of the Insurrection Act.

Perhaps that was their plan?

Is there any more news on this subject?

It would have been used as a pretense for bringing in their weapons, to stop the "insurrection". But the real reason was to take over the Capitol and to disband the Congress.

It was tied together with the idea of confiscating the voting machines. It was very close to being successful.

I expect the DOJ is working on flipping as many of the 11 as they can, and I also expect at least several will. My thought is that the next thing we’ll hear is a DOJ request to delay the trials of those cooperating… Or maybe it will be those cooperating changing their pleas to guilty… I’m not sure.

I bet he has a vest pocket full of pardons already issued to himself for any and all contingencies.

And any consequences for the insurrection that don't snare Bannon and Steven Miller are incomplete and worthless. They must take down the "intellectual" brain trust that we often do not see.

occurred, at some point the Nat. Guard in combination with God knows how many other legitimate military sources would have ended it violently. The capitol would have been taken back. I’ve read about right wing factions within the military, but I also have seen how true dedicated military leaders still believe in and back our democracy. Despite what the former idiot would have ordered, I’m not so sure the military would follow a mad man’s orders, or rather to serve and protect the constitution of the USA, as they pledged to do. It would have been a bloodbath, as it may still come to be, but I don’t believe that what’s his nuts would remain in power in such an event.

but you get it because you are thinking like Trump. What rational person would do the things he has done?

Donald Trump is not stupid, he is mentally ill.

Also, militias were used by the central government to put down rebellions against the government. Militias were not originally formed to be a check on the central government.

I'm from Pa. and I studied about the Whiskey rebellion where it took militias to put down the rebellion.

It's becoming more clear every day that they were fully prepared and in the process of taking over the government by military force. I think it's also pretty clear that they will ignore every court order, indictment or attempt to enforce the law concerning Trump and his minions. It's fair to say that this is not over by a long shot.

There are few options when dealing with an enemy like this and we need to be ready.

Tue Feb 1, 2022, 11:38 AM
Feb 2022

I have read that many oathkeepers believed that the Insurrection Act had been signed before Jan 6 and would be revealed at the proper time. Some apparently were told that the oathkeepers would be activated as a national militia at that time.
They thought that they would become some kind of 'praetorian guard'. Stone and Flynn were probably feeding them pure BS to keep them focused.

Roger Stone was hanging out with oath keepers, proud boys for at least a month before Jan. 6th. I have seen the videos. Of course they were just talking about women, sports and the weather.

If witnesses come forward, people turn, if documents or phone records, text messages, e-mails can be found tying the oath keepers, proud boys to the Whitehouse. That would be a game changer.

touted by the MAGA crowd didn't show up. So many of the seditionists expected more left counter protesters and they would have been blamed and the excuse to call in Oath Keepers and other militias plus the National Guard on their side to "restore order."

We don't know what would have happened had more of our people been mixing it up with the insurrectionists, but will be interesting if once we get more of the texts and emails to find out how that fed into their plan. Because we know if it had succeeded not only would they be crowing that they had "protected" the Capitol, but the evil leftists were the reason they had to do it.
