None of them have even started campaigning yet. Fucking unrealistic hit piece.

Fried is my favorite, but unfortunately I think Crist is the best shot, unless Gwen wants to run again.

Rubio? Who knows at this point, but Val has a shot imo.

If the same poll reported Biden, Demmings or Crist doing well nobody would challenge its accuracy or motives.

As for Florida, they have been devolving back to the racist history for some time now

The problem with nationwide polls is that while they might show Biden with a big lead in the popular vote, they don't translate it to state-by-state electoral college votes -- which is all that really matters.

And based on RealClearPOlitics survey of polls, there are a lot of polls showing Trump ahead of Biden nationwide.

It’s gonna be tough though if Rubio stays around the 50% threshold though.

It will be a shame if she gives up her House seat and then doesn’t win the Senate seat (you can’t be on the ballot for two different races in Florida).

Unfortunately Crist and Fried just aren’t very “exciting” candidates, everyone is already familiar with Crist and Fried is not very well known as the Ag commissioner.

before the campaign even starts because one poll say so.

Yesterday on this board I was called stupid because I'm a Florida voter - today I'm told to not even bother.

I'm curious as to why people are spreading so much doom and gloom here.

I'm in South Florida. Telling me "not to bother" is just giving a free vote to little Marco to our current asshole of a governor, which I refuse to do.

Are we supposed to sit back and make it easy for them?

OP is saying Florida is out of reach this cycle. That's how I reach to give up.

I am fully aware that campaigns do polling. What does that have to do with a poll in February, when the Democratic candidates aren't yet set?

...and is showing results for all the likely candidate matchups. The Democratic candidates are well aware of where they're starting out, and will need to carry out their campaigns accordingly. Meanwhile, ordinary voters aren't paying attention at all to the polls, and won't focus on the election until September.

Except the OP is telling us that Florida is a waste of time this cycle. That is what I am objecting to.

I'm a Florida Democrat who works very hard to GOTV and get Democrats elected. It is very discouraging to come on this Democratic site that I've been a member of for 20 years and be told to give up. Yesterday I was told I was stupid because I'm a Florida voter.

I'm going to continue to voice my disagreement with this doom and gloom sentiment that, IMO, works to depress the Democratic vote.

I could link to them but they would be denounced. This is a political discussion board. No one is telling you not to bother. But polls, especially those that show trends, are useful to people -- including the DNC --- to know where to put maximum effort and resources.

That's saying don't bother. Of course polls are useful but we have learned over the last several cycles that polls are, at best, inexact. At worst, they help to make things happen, IOW, Florida is out of reach, says February poll. MSM decides that Democrats shouldn't bother in Florida, the Democratic vote is depressed, money dries up, etc, etc.

I say it's early and, to me, these numbers aren't that bad for February.
