Lawyers for Dominion and Lindell said they have no intention of settling their cases.
Dominion Voting Systems asked a federal judge on Monday night to allow the company's defamation lawsuit against Mike Lindell to proceed, arguing that the MyPillow CEO's arguments in the case "threaten the rule of law."
"If allowed to proceed, they would impose liability on innumerable parties engaging in ordinary, day-to-day acts of litigation," Dominion's attorneys wrote of Lindell's counterclaims in the case. "They would deter future litigants from bringing their disputes to court in the first place."
Dominion sued Lindell and MyPillow in February of last year, claiming $1.3 billion in damages and alleging they defamed the election technology company by pushing lies about its role in the 2020 election. It's part of a spate of lawsuits Dominion filed against election conspiracy theorists and media entities it says platformed them.

(6,589 posts)Like most folks I've been focused on the 700+ criminal cases they're currently pursuing & other potential criminal charges, so I'm curious how you see a lawsuit fitting into the picture? A suit (or suits?) against who for what? And how does it help (not hinder) the hundreds of criminal cases being handled concurrently? I'm genuinely curious.

Because while they all know its a sham, its seems like Mikey is convinced he is some kind of warrior for truth and fighting fraud, and at the same time is convinced that the Democrats are evil and dead set to turn the country to a godless communist failed state.
Sadly many mentally challenged Americans are in the same boat. But then again, there are probably many with mental health issues that still have common sense, and still believe in science and support the mandates, and vote Democratic. So no, I don't feel sorry for them.
