The facts have been clear for DECADES - the major calamities that were predicted and feared are now chronicled and compared.

We ran off the map into the wild and we have no way to get back. Prevention and reversal have been traded in for adapt or die thinking.

In the end, billions of human lives are going to be lost and the current upper class believes those deaths will be entirely outside of their ranks, so why give a fuck about it at all?

The whole thing is going to spiral out of control by 2050 or sooner and the world is primed for WWIII to start over resources and to be fought over misguided ideas of "surviability" and "acceptable losses" (resurrecting Cold War terminology for Climate War use).

I should have followed Carlin's advice and never had kids or a family, detached myself from the species and just got front row tickets to the snuff film that will be 21st century's calling card.

Maybe the survivors will get it right in 2060 or later. Maybe not. Maybe this is how Planet Earth recycles itself this time...previous volcanoes and comets and devastation from beyond have done the trick...this time? Homo Sapiens at your service governor...
