(at work) I simply use a covered bottle to drink from with a disposable straw I push under my N95 and since I largely never get the chance to eat anyway, not much of an issue for me.

Honestly? I have no desire to eat in an indoor restaurant and haven't done so since the first COVID cases were identified in the US. I do feel bad about those businesses, but HCWs are far too exposed to add to it unnecessarily, so...

The last thing we need is people using a half measure while this virus gets even more virulent. Now a lot of people will see this and think it's all they need in every situation, and that they can just eat indoors now in a crowd and everything will be fine.

Even the news station a little further down in the tweet admits the researchers say you need more protection than a nose mask for full protection. The health agencies have all recognized for months now we have to move to n95 type of masks to get the required protection.

We need better than cloth masks covering the mouth and nose, and this -- REALLY?

Consistent messaging is required to stay ahead of this virus, and this gimmick dilutes the one mask covering the nose and mouth message.
