January 6 committee member says Trump 'absolutely' tampering with witnesses

UNITED STATES - OCTOBER 26: Democratic Caucus vice chairman Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-Calif., conducts a news conference after a meeting of the House Democratic Caucus in the Capitol Visitor Center on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

(CNN) - A member of the House panel investigating the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol said Wednesday that former President Donald Trump is tampering with witnesses by vowing to pardon those involved in the riots if reelected in 2024.

"Absolutely," Rep. Pete Aguilar of California told CNN's Brianna Keilar on "New Day" when asked if Trump was tampering with witnesses by dangling pardons in front of January 6 defendants. "And I think the question is more from my colleagues on the other side of the aisle, you know where -- where are they? Do they support this? When is enough enough?"

The comments from Aguilar, a Democrat, come as the House panel continues to hone it's investigation as it speaks with former members of the Trump administration and obtain documents related to the riots.

During a rally on Saturday, Trump complained that those charged in connection with the January 6 attack at the US Capitol are being treated unfairly and said: "If I run and if I win, we will treat those people from January 6 fairly."

3) We will treat those people from January 6 fairly. aka Give them pardons for breaking the law. Not gonna happen see #s 1 and 2.

All of TFG's talking points are straight out Vlad's mouth. Cancel culture, Hunter Biden, post office,
it was China's rigging of the 2020 election, and so on. And the GOP knew that TFG was then and
still is working for Russia. As a kid I knew of and knew personally a # of good men and women
who were GOP those days are long gone.

11. Garland and the DOJ are working their way up the chain...

Trials for the 11 indicted for seditious conspiracy are currently slated to start in July. Before then, some of them will change pleas to guilty and the DOJ will ask for delays to gather the evidence/testimony needed to go up the next level of the chain. That next level will include elected officials and some of the fuckin guys inner circle.

The fuckin guy knows this and is dangling the pardons, no doubt in the hope of insulating himself from the investigation.

He has some problems though... First, He left them in the cold on the 6th. The peon insurrectionists as well as the seditious conspirators expected something from the fuckin guy once the attack on the capitol started but he just sat there laughing at the TV. Next, he could have pardoned them already and chose not to do so. He had from the 7th to the inauguration, and he left them in the cold... Again. In addition to that, the fuckin guy has a long and public history of abandoning people who are no longer of use to him. Everyone knows loyalty works as a one way street with him. While the fuckin guy himself only has shitty lawyers working for him, some of the seditionists are getting decent ones... Ones that will give them a cold dose of reality and some truth for a change and some will decide to flip rather than die in jail.

Yup... He is getting desperate and will continue to spiral out of control as the noose tightens but in the end, it will not help him.
