Trump has the same personality traits as the BTK killer. Investigators, prosecutors could do this.

The BTK killer was a narcissist with no empathy. He had a gigantic ego. He believed he was smarter than everybody else. Exactly like Trump.

The BTK killer got away with his crimes for years and then suddenly stopped and went silent, which was quite unique.

I don't remember the exact details, but an investigator went after the BTK killers ego by saying something on the news. The BTK killer could not resist, he responded and that's how they nailed him.

As they investigate Trump, if they attack his ego, he may convict himself. Trumps last rally was a good example. He was saying things that could be used against him in the future. Trump is all ego.

Dangle the psychological equivalent of a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese in front of his big fat ego, and no way he'll be able to resist...

Massachusetts psychologist Robert Mendoza was hired by Rader's court-appointed public defenders to conduct a psychological evaluation of Rader, and determine if an insanity-based defense might be viable. He conducted an interview after Rader pleaded guilty on June 27, 2005. Mendoza diagnosed Rader with narcissistic, antisocial and obsessive–compulsive personality disorders: He observed that Rader has a grandiose sense of self, a belief that he is "special" and therefore entitled to special treatment; a pathological need for attention and admiration; a preoccupation with maintaining rigid order and structure; and a complete lack of empathy.

"and a complete lack of empathy" like keeping people who were sick with C-19 on board a cruise ship
because he didn't want the bad publicity?

I will never forget Rader describing his murders in court. He was robotic, like it was normal to kill people.

I can see Trump telling a prosecutor, Of course I tried to over throw the election, because the Democrats cheated.
