Why Trump will never be convicted of a crime.

If Trump is indicted for criminal behavior and it goes to trial the verdict is likely to be 'not guilty'.

In a criminal trial verdicts must be unanimous. This was decided by SCOTUS in 2020 with RAMOS v. LOUISIANA.
If only one juror does not agree, the defendant goes free.

With Trump constantly hammering the big lie and around 30% of the electorate believing him, it will be virtually impossible to form a jury that doesn't consist of at least one Trump supporting juror. That one juror will be enough to free him from any convictions. (Jurors cannot be punished for reaching a "wrong" decision. See: Jury Nullification)

Only if Republicans could agree that Trump lost the election would there ever be a chance to convict him of a crime and I don't see that happening any time in the near future.
