Fourteen states are supporting Alabamas request to the U.S. Supreme Court to block a federal courts order that the state must redraw its congressional districts for this years elections.
Alabama wants to use the district map approved by the Legislature last year for the states seven districts in the U.S. House of Representatives. Six are heavily white and one is majority Black. Blacks make up 27% of Alabamas population.
Last week, a three-judge federal court sided with plaintiffs who challenged Alabamas plan as racially gerrymandered, ruling that the plan most likely violates the Voting Rights Act and blocking its use in the May 24 primary.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is appealing the decision and has asked the Supreme Court for a stay while the appeal is pending. Alabamas lawyers say the three-judge court misinterpreted the Voting Rights Act and that the order would require Alabama to make race the predominant factor in drawing district lines.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry filed a brief today with the Supreme Court supporting Alabamas request for a stay. Joining in the motion were attorneys general from Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia.

Collusion and pre-planning is SOP for this Koch bought, Federalist Society joke of a FUCKING court.
They aren't a court, they are a FUCKING rubber stamp.
It's going to take a generation to un-fuck the shit they are going to do to our country.
All because enough ignorant fucksticks in a majority of important swing states thought there was "no difference" between a FUCKING corrupt, evil Circus Clown with an Earl Scheib spray tan and a shaved Golden Retrievers Ass on this head, and one of the most qualified persons to ever seek the presidency.
Fuck every god damned Retrumplican voter, and double-fuck every god damned American that shrugged and said; "meh, how much harm could he really do".
