Sen. Lindsey Graham Mercilessly Mocked After Trump Turns On HimSen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was mocked by his critics on Tuesday after his years of fealty to former President Donald Trump backfired this week.
Over the weekend, Trump vowed to pardon his supporters who attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, in a failed attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Graham called that inappropriate.
And just like that, Trump turned on Graham, who has been one of his most subservient followers in the Senate.

Trump says he would 'absolutely' consider Jan. 6 pardons and attacks Lindsey Graham for opposing them
Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday doubled down on his assertion that he might pardon those who have been convicted of crimes related to the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol and disparaged Sen. Lindsey Graham for not supporting the idea.
Well, Lindsay Graham is wrong, Trump said in an interview with Newsmax. I mean, Lindsey is a nice guy, but hes a RINO. Lindseys wrong. RINO, which stands for Republican in name only, is a term used by grassroots conservatives to disparage supposedly more moderate members of the GOP.
At a rally in Conroe, Texas, on Saturday, Trump said he would consider pardoning people convicted of joining the attack if he is elected to a second term, in 2024.
If I run and I win, we will treat those people from Jan. 6 fairly, Trump told the crowd. We will treat them fairly, and if it requires pardons, we will give them pardons, because they are being treated so unfairly.

(47,397 posts)It is pretty much inevitable no matter how loyal and obsequious a person is. The few who don't get thrown under the bus are very powerful and/or they have some kind of dirt on him. Giuliani once implied that he had some kind of "insurance" that protected him. Probably the same for Roger Stone. Neither of them will ever be victims of Donald's wrath.
I don't think Trump actually likes anyone. Though he wants unconditional loyalty, he also sees it as disgusting and weak. Like some maniacal Roman leader, he periodically sacrifices a sycophant to the lions. They are all marked for eventual disgrace and exile. It is just a matter of time.
Sorry Lindsey, all that degrading ass-kissing was for naught.

(47,397 posts)His self-loathing is so obvious. He is incapable for really connecting with anyone else and most of his attacks reflect his feelings about himself. "He is a disgrace; a disaster; disgusting" are words he uses about other people all the time and I am sure he is just replaying the words he heard as a child. He is so two-dimensional, he tells us everything we need to know about him whenever he opens his mouth.

(6,113 posts)A baby is born into a family where hes ignored by his father. When he does receive his fathers attention, his father constantly yells at, criticizes or punishes him. For the first two years of his life, this childs mother is perfunctorily attentive, but not loving, and then abandons him for a year. From the time he was born until he is an adult, he witnesses his father abuse his older brother by terrorizing him verbally. This leads to his older brother becoming an alcoholic and dying at the age of 42. He sees his parents engaged in an emotionally neglectful, if not emotionally abusive, marriage.
This is the story of the early years of President Donald J. Trump, according to the captivating book, Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the Worlds Most Dangerous Man. The book was written by the presidents niece, Mary L. Trump, the daughter of Donald Trumps older brother. It bursts open the doors to understanding why Donald Trump behaves the way he does. It is also is a cautionary tale for how we decide who becomes a leader, whether that leader is a president, CEO, judge or school superintendent.
In Mary Trumps words: Child abuse is, in some sense, the experience of too much or not enough. Donald directly experienced the not enough in the loss of connection to his mother at a crucial developmental stage, which was deeply traumatic. Without warning, his needs werent being met, and his fears and longings went unsoothed. Having been abandoned by his mother for at least a year, and having his father fail not only to meet his needs but to make him feel safe or loved, valued or mirrored, Donald suffered deprivations that would scar him for life.
Anyone who knows about the science of adverse childhood experiences has suspected all along thatcritical aspects of the presidents formative years contributed to his behavior today.
Mary describes Fred Trump, Donald Trumps father, as a high-functioning sociopath.

These individuals are grossly unfit for public life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trump has demonstrated this every day of his putrid life.........
I will stop there. Enough Said........

(47,397 posts)Trump came from money and privilege. An impoverished mistreated Donald Trump probably would have ended up incarcerated numerous times from a young age. Instead Donald, the juvenile delinquent, was sent to military school.
What a difference money makes.

To some extent,, EACH of them can sink the other, but it would be legally murder/suicide.

(47,397 posts)about Giuliani. It is so strange how Trump continued to overlook all his major screw-ups. It was quite clear that Rudy wasn't an asset in any way other than maybe being a goofy distraction on TV. Trump could have reined him in, but he didn't.
Yes, it would be fascinating to watch them all go after one another. There is no loyalty in that gang whatsoever. It would be a real life Reservoir Dogs, but with far more characters. We can always hope.

(59,501 posts)The most scary thing is nearly 40 percent of the country believe in Trump. There have been factions in the US before, but where they disagreed on goals, policies and even values, they did share a large set of Co mon beliefs and had the same facts - even if there were subjective disagreements.
How do you govern in a democracy when the disagreement is on facts and you can not even get to speaking about what policy has which advantages?

(47,397 posts)seen in real life. Then if Trump changes his mind about something, this mindless blob of a party just changes right along with him. There are no policies or ideology anymore, it is whatever Trump happens to say or do today. It is mass delusion or psychosis brought to us by years of brainwashing from right-wing media. The MAGATS were being preconditioned for a leader like Trump and now it is a huge cult.
